Treatments For Eye - Foreign Body In

In many cases, dirt and eyelashes can be removed through the application of water and the eye’s own “flushing” mechanisms. However, if the patient cannot remove the object from their eye on their own, treatment to remove the foreign object will be conducted appropriately depending on the size and location of the object within the eye by their health care professional. Depending on severity, an eye patch may be applied to help keep the eye temporarily closed. A follow-up exam is typically recommended to check for possible eye damage or infection. If you are persistently experiencing the symptoms listed above, please contact your doctor for further diagnosis.
