Brain Tumor
General Information on Brain Tumor
A brain tumor is caused by an abnormal growth of cells in the brain. There are two distinct classifications of tumors; benign, which are not cancerous, and malignant, which are cancerous. Malignant tumors are more dangerous, though both require immediate medical attention and surgery to remove the tumor completely from the brain. It is important to see your physician immediately if you think you may have a brain tumor.
Symptoms of Brain Tumor
Brain tumors can affect the body in several ways due to the fact that they are located in the brain, which is the control center for the entire human nervous system. This means that though many of the symptoms a person with a brain tumor may experience are symptoms directly related to a person’s brain function, thinking and emotional complications are not the only problems that may arise. Depending on the location of the tumor within the brain many varying physical symptoms may occur throughout the body. Many of these symptoms may not be indicative of a brain tumor, being very similar in nature to other diseases and medical complications. So be certain to talk to your doctors if you begin experiencing the following symptoms.
Headache (often worsens upon lying down)
Seizures
Memory loss
Personality changes
Confusion
Mental disclarity
Inability to concentrate
Nausea
Vomiting
Double or blurred vision
Weakness located on one side of the body
Problems with balancing
Light-headedness or Dizziness
Dulling of the senses including smelling and hearing
Treatments For Brain Tumor
Treatment tends to vary both on whether or not the tumor is malignant, and on the stage, size, and location of the tumor within the brain. There are over 120 different types of brain tumors, and each kind of tumor requires different types of treatment.
After a series of tests conducted by your physician, your doctor may recommend surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, or biological therapy. Surgery is generally needed to remove the tumor and some of the affected brain tissue. The severity of the surgery is dependent on the size and location of the tumor. Radiation and chemotherapy are often used if the tumor is malignant in order to prevent the spread of the cancer throughout the brain and eventually destroy the cancer completely.

First of all, let me say that it hasnt been confirmed yet.
But for a few months now, ive been experiences a fairly large collection of these symptoms. I think it started with mental unclarity and/or memory loss. If i tried to remember anything it was either really blurry and i was never sure on it, or i just couldnt remember it at all.
I kinda just took it normal. I thought it was mybe alzheimers starting to kick in because my nan got it, and my aunty is getting it too. I thought maybe it was getting me early. Then i think the next symptom i experienced was Dizzyness. Even when i wasnt doing anything, i would just get dizzy for a while and it went away. I also started having little blackout things, i would stand up and my eyes would start to go black untill i could not see, then it would fade off. I talked to some of my friends about it, mainly one girl i knew whos dad had just survived a brain tumour. She told me a few of his symptoms and they sounded pretty familiar. She told me he was always tired. That is what i was feeling too. No matter how early i went to bed, i always started to get really tired at school.
I think double or blurred vision was next, it wasnt constant. I just couldnt stare at any object for very long as it would blur quite a bit.
And lately i have been experiencing difficulty concentrating. I used to be in the second highest English class in my year. Now im in the 5th, and i find it hard to read. Even with the simplist sentences, i had to read over them a few times to understand it and to put all the words together. I also find it really hard to keep doing my school word for very long (harder than it normally would haha).
I came on this site to hopefully find my answers and most of the symptoms are what ive been experiencing. And while i was laying on my bed reading all of these, i developed a really tight feeling headache in my brain. I forgot to mention these, i throughout most of this, i have been experiencing tight feeling headaches.
thanks :)
