General Information on Skin Tags
Skin tags are small, soft, skin colored growths that are generally found on the neck, armpits, face and genital area.Skin tags are a benign condition and not directly associated with any other major medical conditions. Skin tags usually cause no trouble but may become bothersome due to their appearance. Clothing or nearby skin may rub and irritate them causing pain and sometimes bleeding.
Symptoms of Skin Tags
Skin tags occur most commonly on the neck, armpits, face, and genital area and are:
Soft Growths
Growths - Small in size
Flesh colored Growths
Treatments For Skin Tags
Skin tags can easily be treated by a doctor. There are several methods that can be used. Some doctors will use liquid nitrogen to freeze the skin tags off. Another method for removal is to burn them off using an electric needle. Skin tags can also be cut off using scissors or a scalpel. Never try to remove your skin tags at home. Cutting off skin tags at home may lead to infection.
